    1. Re: Cemetery Cleaning and Cataloguing
    2. Dear Dave, I'm copying the information about Old Oak Grove Cemetery off the Georgia GENWEB site. This gives the location and the approximate number of graves. Located about two miles north of Stillmore off Highway 192 near the 7-mile marker, at the intersection of South Old Reidsville Road and Rooster Road. The cemetery is 150 to 200 yards on the right side of Rooster Road. Section 1 - WARREN (private fence) J. I. Warren 11/5/1845 - 5/14/1926 S. E. Warren 2/8/1837 - 9/20/1907 James E son or ?? And S. E. This is how he remembers the story...Mr. Eubanks (my spelling) borrowed a pistol from Mr. Wayne Griffin (my spelling) and used it to kill his family, then committed suicide. Mr. Eubanks' wife was J. J. Powell's niece. Nobody would allow the bodies to be buried in their cemetery. Old Oak Grove finally took them in, but insisted the bodies be buried outside the cemetery. There are 6 posts driven in the ground just outside of what looks like the boundary of Old Oak Grove Cemetery. My father believes these are the Eubanks graves. There may be more graves that we could not see because of the forestation. I spoke with Daddy this evening. He says that if you need better directions to the cemetery, he'll be happy to speak with and direct you. Again, his phone number is 912-578-3220. If I can provide more information, please let me know.
