    3. Olivia, What a coincidence! I was planning to post this very question to the list, and I figured you would know the answer if anyone would. Is it possible that Fuller is the 3-month old "Samuel F. Strange" listed as a grandson living with Mitchell and Mary McLeod Strange in the 1880 census? One of their daughters is 20 year old Sarah A. Strange. Regarding the 1900 census: Since 18 y/o Fuller is listed as the head of household, I believe the enumerator mistakenly put down the horizontal line first, to indicate the same surname for Sarah (in this case, Strange) and *then* wrote Hall over it when he realized she was Sarah Hall, married to William Hall. The 1910 census supports this, as Fracie/Frasie Strange is living with William and Sarah Hall in the 53 G.M.D. off McLeod Road. Still, I can't help you with the name of Fuller's father. As with the father of Zachariah Strange (my g-g-grandfather), it remains perplexing and elusive. His mother was named Sarah (b. March 1865, according to the 1900 census). Listed in household is William STRANGE, b. April 1862, Step-Father, married one year. HALL is written by Sarah's name, then marked through. > > I have a Sarah Ann THOMPSON who married a William STRANGE on September 17, 1899, Montgomery County, GA - Book C-1, page 104. Sarah says she's had four children and four are living.
