    3. Lamb, William David William David Lamb, age 71, of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at the Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Lamb was a native of Emanuel County and a graduate of Swainsboro High School. He earned a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Georgia and masters in education degree from Georgia Southern College. From 1959 until 1985, Mr. Lamb took various courses toward certification from Appalachian State University, Boone, NC; San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA; University of Georgia and Georgia Southern College. Mr. Lamb taught in the Emanuel County School System at Swainsboro Elementary School from 1969 until 1988 and served as assistant principal from 1962 until 1967. He also taught at Marvin Pittman Laboratory School, Georgia Southern College, Statesboro, Garden Avenue Elementary, Tulare, CA, Monroe Junior High, Tampa, FL, Knollwood Elementary in Dekalb County and Treutlan High, Soperton. In 1988, Mr. Lamb joined the faculty at David Emanuel Academy, Stillmore, and was appointed headmaster for the 1989-1990 term. Mr. Lamb worked with East Georgia College from August 1998 to June 2000 as Director of the PREP Program, inviting both local and surrounding county's high school students to visit the college campus and introduce them to classes, scheduling and general college programs. He was a member of the Emanuel Association of Educators, National Education Association, Georgia Association of Educators and Processional Association of Georgia Educators. He was a member of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club. He was a member and Sunday School teacher at the First United Methodist Church. Survivors: his wife: Linda Dekle Lamb of Swainsboro, GA; three daughters, Amy Lamb Hadden of Vidalia, GA, Kim Rundle of Statesboro, GA and Gay Chapman of Swainsboro, GA; one son, Dekle Wightman of Kennesaw, GA; one sister: Rebecca Lamb Cannady of Swainsboro, GA; two brothers, Alfred C. Lamb, Jr. of Dublin, GA and Frank Lamar Lamb of Murfreesboro, TN; one granddaughter and six grandsons. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 7th, at 11 AM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne DeFore officiating. Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Dr. Bob Blankenship officiating. Mr. Lamb will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are Alfred C. Lamb III, Frank Lamar Lamb, Jr., Lee Canady, Elwyn Coleman, Jim Dekle, Bobby Sasser and Frank Wimberly. Honorary Pallbearers are member of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, The Leroy Williams Sunday School Class and the Quail Lake Drive Neighborhood.
