I remember Mr. David Lamb very well; he was my 7th grade English teacher at Swainsboro Elementary. He was a good teacher and a very kind man. Mr. Lamb knew daddy, knew he was "sick" and occasionally asked about him. He saw a lot of good in a little girl from a poor, broken home and he always encouraged me to do my best. As I recall, he used to sit us in rows according to our class grades. It was a huge honor to get to sit in "A" row, especially if you got to seat in the first or second seats!
