The Swainsboro native was the daughter of Maggie Truett Edwards and Willie Boatright. She came to Savannah to attend business school. With her husband, she operated the Garden City Grocery and Service Station for many years. She was graduated from Armstrong State College and was member of First Baptist Church of Garden City since 1942. She was preceded by her husband of 54 years, Charlie Carvin Lamb. Survivors: daughter, Barbara L. Myrick of Bellaire; brothers, Jack Edwards, Henry T. Edwards both of Guyton, George I. Edwards of Fleming, Wallace Edwards of Waycross, and Rev. Ben E. Edwards of Dublin; sisters, Nellie E. Butler of Greenwood, S.C., and Virginia Boatright of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Melody L. Myrick and Robert Rob E. (Savannah) The Candler County native was a member of Garden City First Baptist Church and retired from Savannah Machine & Foundry where he was a crane operator. He and his wife owned the Garden City Grocery for many years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Callie Boatright Lamb of Garden City; a daughter, Barbara. L. Myrick of Largo, Fla.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Melody Brown of Albany, and Robert E. Myrick, Jr. of Largo, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Zona Strickland of Garden City, and Mrs. Betty Gustafs0on of Aurora, Colo.; three brothers, Charles T. Lamb and Artie L. Lamb, both of Savannah, and Kenneth Lamb of Wylie, Texas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
