I recenty visited with the grand daughter of Josephine Thompson Cowart. I was told that Jospehine and all her children with the exception of Lewis were buried at Port Myaca, Fl. Lewis is buried in Bronson, Fl. Name of cemetery unknown. There is a old and a new section of Port Myaca and they are buried in the old section where there is also a memorial to 1600 of the victims of the 1928 Hurricane that devasted the Lake Okeechobee, FL area Port Myaca is also known as the Pahokee City Cemetery. Josephine first married Eleazer Lewis Cowart. He passed away and she married R.E Cowart. Eleazer Cowart is the father of all the children.
