    3. Carol, I thought that you and others might like these Obits. Ben Obit for Moses W. Boatright Forest-Blade 10 Oct 1973 Augusta-Moses W. Boatright, 244 Reynolds Street, died Friday in a local hospital. A native of Emanuel County, he had lived in Augusta for the past 50 years. He was a member of Dallas Heights Baptist Church and a retired postal employee. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Bell Burnett Boatright of Augusta; a daughter, Edward W. Gay of Augusta; two sons, Arlis D. Boatright of Marietta and Randall V. Boatright of Augusta; a brother, Willie R. Boatright of Swainsboro; and a sister, Mrs. Katie B. Lamb of Aiken. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from Possy’s Funeral Home Chapel in North Augusta. Rev. M.M. Weaver officiated and interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Lewis Tidwell, Bob Pritcher, Charles Dillard, James Wood, Clarence Brown and Ted Russell. Obit for Katie Lamb Forest-Blade 2 Jun 1976 Aiken-Mrs. Katie Boatright Lamb, 75, of 3304 Vaucluse Road, died Saturday in an Aiken hospital. The funeral was held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev.Clifton D. Henderson officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens. A native of Emanuel County, Mrs. Lamb had lived in Aiken for 10 years. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Gottel of Sterling Ill., and Mrs. Sylvia Wooley of Grantite ville, S.C; a son Ed Roberts of Aiken; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Pauline Hamilton of Savannah, Mrs. W.C. McPherson of Brunswick, and Mrs. Erma Lee Roberts of Lymna, S.C; and a brother, Willie Boatright of Swainsboro. Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the Memorial Baptist Church and members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
