The Atlanta Constitution 1/14/1905 TRAGEDY OCCURS AT SWAINSBORO One Man Shoots And Fatally Wounds Son In Law Leanard Hutcheson, a man near seventy years old, shot and fatally wounded his son in law, Sweet Phillips, about 10 miles west of here. Phillips' wife was visiting her parents, and Phillips went after her to take her home. Hutcheson refused to let her accompany the husband home, seized a shotgun and emptied the contents into Phillips' breast. Phillips is shot through the lungs, and his physicians say there is absolutely no chance to save his life. Hutcheson is an aged man, and has always been known as a very peaceable man. Phillips was a contractor. Both men belong to respectable families of this county. Dawn
