According to "Emanuel Memories", he was born in 1889 and received a BS from Columbia University in NY. He was co-owner (I believe he had a brother) of Ehrlich's department store on the north side of Court House Square and was often there. The store sold clothing and accessories for men, women and children and was rather stylishly laid out for a small town department store. He also managed Ehrlich Farms where he bred sheep. He was very active in local civic and fraternal organizations and highly regarded in the community. His bio mentions no wife or children.
