Author: bradproctor Surnames: Proctor, Brady Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.georgia.counties.emanuel/1679/mb.ashx Message Board Post: josephine isabella brady from savannah married my grandfather lewis samples proctor from swainsboro in 1905. she was born 22 oct 1882. she had a sister elizabeth (bessie) who lived for a time in swainsboro. josie was apparently adopted by the stephen williams family of swainsboro. lewis and josie's daughter, josephine frances proctor, also lived with the williams family for a while. josie brady proctor contracted tb and passed away in 1925 in north carolina. who were her parents, and why was she adopted by the williams family? if anyone has any clues, i would greatly appreciate any suggestions or ideas.
