    3. Olivia, I guess you are referring to Nathan born 1782 in NC, son of William Blueford (or Bluford) Barwick and Elizabeth Phillips, who is buried in the Barwick cemetery at Norristown? I have never heard of him being called anything but Nathan. My dad's uncle was named James Hilton Barwick, and was called Hilton or Hilt. He was born in 1887, son of John J Barwick Jr and Jane Skinner. Hope this helps. Carol B. 3. Carol: The reason I asked is that we've received some material on the Ricks family that states Tilton Barwick was the father of all the chidren that I have listed as children of Nathan Blueford Barwick and Elizabeth Whiddon. I did not have a Tilton Barwick at all in my database. This person also sent copies of pictures of some of the children, and on each he wrote that Tilton Barwick was their father. This has me perplexed to no end. I know you've seen the article that appeared in the October 7, 1987 issue of The Soperton News "Treutlen Scrapbook: The Barwick Sisters - Early 1900s"; he has attached a piece of paper to it stating "Tilton Barwick is these sisters' father. Daniel Tilton Ricks took has grandfathers' names. He went by "Babe" until age five and then named himself, Daniel from his father's father and Tilton from his mother's father." What do you make of this? Is there any proof of the children of Nathan Blueford Barwick and Elizabeth Whiddon? Nathan's obituary states he had 16 children, but I only have 10. This is my file on this family; corrections appreciated: 1.
