Olivia, Denise and others, I know about the person you mentioned below. Muriel Christian was the WIFE of Hewitt Christian. There is an error on the death certificate, as Hewitt's name is given as both spouse and father! Hewitt was the brother of my grandmother Grace CHRISTIAN THOMPSON, so he was my great uncle. The John Christian and Martha "Mattie" Maxwell Christian family moved from the Elberton area around 1903 to Emanuel County. Muriel's maiden name was STEPHENS. I don't know her father's name but she lived with her mother Susie ______ and stepfather Francis M. SMITH in 1910 Emanuel County Census. I have not found that Hewitt ever remarried and know of no children. He died in February 1971, last lived in Midville, Emanuel County, and is buried at Ebenezer.
