    3. Hi,is anyone familiar with the Lambert family of Burke Co Ga? There was a John Lambert b abt 1768 who married a Catherine Chambers there, and maybe moved later to Decatur Co Ga. I think this Catherine may be a sister of Rachel Chambers who married Reubin Thompson. Any help would be appreciated. Carol B. Miller

    3. I found this on FamilySearch: Henry CHAMBERS (b. 8 Nov 1750 in Lancaster, PA or Maryland; died 12 Jun 1811 in Iredell Co., NC) married 11 May 1775 in Rowan Co., NC to Agnes Nancy McHENRY (b. 12 Dec 1753 in NC; died 7 Aug 1801 in Iredell Co., NC). Children of Henry & Agnes include: Catherine, Henry Jr., Jane, Joseph, David, Elenor, Nancy, Maxwell, Margaret, Ransom. Note, there is no Rachel listed. :( Daughter Catherine (b. 6 Sep 1788 in Iredell or Rowan Co., NC) married John L. LAMBERT, son of James LAMBERT. John was born abt 1775 of Burke Co., GA. Children of Catherine & John include: Noah, Blakely, James, Lovinsky ?, Elizabeth, Lewis, Priscilla, Evans, Polly Ann. Does this help or hinder? 3. Carol, Hmmm... Now I'm really confused, this does differ from what Mike Ridgdill just posted, at least as far as the ages of this couple. The children he listed could hardly be hers if she wasn't born until 1788. So, what are the birthdates for John Lambert and Catherine Chambers..... However, this family may be related to the Jonas Chambers family, if from Pa or Maryland, and they were in Burke Co Ga at the same time. There was a James Lambert bordering the land of Rubin (Reubin) Thompson in the Brier Creek area of Burke County. Though I still think Jonas may have had a daughter named Catherine, apparently she's not the one who married John Lambert? I think Jonas's daughter Catherine may have married about 1793, but this is just based on a land transaction for a Catherine Chambers for that year. Wow what we don't know about the Burke county settlers.
