The new courthouse is located at the corner of US Hwy 1 and Moring Street. There is plenty of parking in the back, accessable from Moring St. I've never heard of the courthouse having birth ledgers. They have birth certificates on file, but birth certificates weren't required in Georgia until the early 1900's. I'm not sure, but I don't think the public has access to birth records until they are over 75 years old. Maybe someone else can elaborate on that. Hope this helps.
