Does anyone know where Laurel Springs was/is in Montgomery Co? Baldwin Co records give the will information for John Jones, son of Abraham Jones and Martha Jones of Amelia Va and Edgecombe NC. John was born abt 1746 and died 9-13-1810 at Laurel Springs in Montgomery Co Ga. In his will he "names brothers Seaborn and Abraham, and nephew John A. Jones, son of brother Abraham. Gives land to Delilah Cattle who has sometimes resided with me." Witnesses: Edward Blackshear, William Fokes, Amos Fokes. (Will Book A, page 34). What is this family's tie to Montgomery Co Ga? How was John Jones connected to Edward Blackshear and to William and Amos Fokes? Who was Delilah Cattle? Apparently Abraham also lived in Montgomery Co where he died in 1811.
