GA. (Another date I have is 1818 Emanuel Co. GA) [V. Edenfield] [V. Edenfield] The biggest problem with internet genealogy is that people post things with no documentation at all!!! DB, born in S.C., died in either 1812 or 1818 ....in which year his estate was inventoried, that inventory still existing in the Emanuel County records...making it impossible to have died in 1824.... Are you a descendant? I am....and am a trained historian........pls ask for documentation before accepting as fact any 'posting' on the web! Margaret Braswell b. Abt. 1775 Burke Co., GA d. 1840 Emanuel Co., GA My source for this information was an earlier posting on this mailing list and a posting on One World tree Dick Hughes Hawthorne, FL [V. Edenfield] I will get out Margaret Braswell Boatright's dates tomorrow and post...... -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of wvedenfield Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2008 9:12 AM To: 'Sue and Richard Marsh'; [email protected] Subject: Re: [GAEMANUE] Margaret Braswell, wife of Daniel Boatwright -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Sue and Richard Marsh Sent: Wednesday, July 30, 2008 1:35 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GAEMANUE] Margaret Braswell, wife of Daniel Boatwright Vernon, or anyone, do you happen to have dates for Daniel and Margaret Braswell Boatright( Boatwright)? Also where they may be buried? Does anyone know the correct way that he spelled his last name? Thanks very much, Sue [V. Edenfield] THERE IS NO "CORRECT" spelling ....with or without the 'w' ? both have been used since the beginnings of this country......even "Boatwryght".........Spelling was not rigid in early America...Thomas Jefferson was a proponent of phonetic spelling! Enuff instead of enough, for example.....so don't spend time looking for 'correcct' spellings..... Several references exist which say they are buried between McKinney's Pond and Herndon v. near the Old Savannah Rd and closer to Herndon but unmarked............I've searched for years with no luck............. I'll send dates (with all t he confusion surrounding them) later... Wvedenfield Are you a Boatright descenda nt?
