He m. Georgianna Josephine McLeod 1-31-1877. The William A. Riley, b. 1860, was a son of John's brother, Jesse Wilkes, Jr., who died ca. 1865 in the WBTS. Jesse, Jr. m. Susan Elizabeth Sharpe 3-29-1855. 1860 Montgomery Co., GA Household 209 Wilkes, Jesse 32 , Susan E. 27 , Mary A. 4 , Martha 3 , Margaret 1 , William R. 2 mo. In 1865, another son was born to them, Jesse L. Apparently, the mother died at this time or soon after as I cannot find her in a subsequent census. 1870 Montgomery Co., GA William A. Riley is living with his uncle, John Wilkes, 10 years old. Jesse L. is living with his grandparents, Jesse Wilkes (& Emily Johnson), 7 years old. By 1880, both grandparents have died (Jesse in 1871 and Emily in 1873) and Jesse, Jr. is living with his father's unmarried siblings, David and Mary, apparently in the same household, listed as nephew, age 18. William A. Riley Wilkes m. Margaret "Maggie" Hamilton 7-27-1879. She d. in February 1890, and he married Charity Catherine Fiveash 8-20-1890. She d. in 1941, but I have no further information on him.
