Wilkes, born October 1828 in NC and died April 25, 1906 is buried at Center Methodist Church with his wife, Catherine Ann Shaw. John B. "Red Horse" Wilkes, born October 27, 1819 in Robeson County, NC and died September 16, 1896 is buried in the John Wilkes Cemetery off GA Highway 252 near Lyons. He first married Catherine McGregor in 1841; she died in 1866. He married second Lucy Collins in 1867; she died in 1874. He married third Lucy Ann Wilkes Jackson, widow of Andrew Jackson, in 1875; she died in 1909 and is buried in North Thompson with her son's family. Burial places for first two wives is unknown, but probably in unmarked graves in John Wilkes Cemetery. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
