Do a google map search on Sardis Church, Kite, Georgia. Sardis Church shows on Wes Lawson Road. The church is about 11 miles from Swainsboro. For driving directions, take US 80 west from Swainsboro a few miles. Turn right on Old McLeod's Bridge Road, aka (according to the map) Country Road 456. There is another church on your left, before you get to Sardis, but I can't recall it's name. Sardis is on your left, a very prominent landmark. The church cemetery is a good way farther on, on the right as I recall. Acc. to the map the same road a bit farther is named Wes Lawson road. The Wes Lawson family, and some of the Riners have long been associated with that Sardis Church. It has a good-sized well kept cemetery. A great many Riners are buried there. Hugh
