    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Brinson born in 1900 is not the same Noah M. who married Elizabeth D. Durden. As "stirkki" posted 24 Feb 2008, Noah Matthew Brinson (b.08 Oct 1825 - d. 20 Apr 1878) married on 11 Jan 1849 to Elizabeth Dillard Durden (b.14 Mar 1831 - d.21 Nov 1908).They are buried at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church. They had a farm in Canoochee, GA. Noah was a Confederate Lt. in Cobb's Legion. He was also a magistrate and a Census Taker in 1860 for his district #49. You can see his signature "N.M.Brinson" on those documents. All of this happened in Emanuel Co. GA., except Noah was probably born in Burke Co,GA, where his parents, Shepard and Elizabeth Belcher Brinson lived. His wife, Elizabeth Dillard Durden Brinson was the daughter of Dennis Durden and Pheobe Dillard - this Pheobe was the daughter of the William Durden and Mary Dekle, that "katsgrandma" wrote about. One of Noah Matthew & "Bettie's" sons was Dennis Edwin Brinson who married Lena Ables, who begat my Grandfather, Noah Franklin Brinson Sr. The Ables Family is one I would like to know more about, if anyone out there can help me. Hope this helps someone else. For Proof: Noah and Bettie's marriage is listed in "Georgia Marriages" at GA State Archives Virtual Vault. Other sources include Brinson Family Bibles in "Historical! Collections of the GA Chapters of the DAR Vol IV", 1932, "Darden Family History" by Newton Jasper Darden, 1953,"Cobb's Legion Calvary" by Harriet Bey Mesic, 2009 and many census records. ~ Sschaeff1 Thank you to Wesley G. Wilson for posting "SUTTON CEMETARY" on 2 Aug 2001: William Durden 1775-1850 and wife Mary Dekle Durden 1784-1855 are also buried in the Sutton Cem. their daughter Malinda was the 1st wife of Jordan Sutton.
