Olivia, I just realized that I have the wrong Jordan Flanders. You are talking about the one who married Sarah Thompson, aunt of Catherine, aren't you. The one I was thinking about wasn't born until 1851. I think the Jordan b 1793 is buried in the Sumner Cemetery. He married Reubin Thompson's and Rachel Chambers' daughter, Sarah, born 1800. He married Mary Daniel also (2nd wife, I think). Mary Catherine Thompson Flanders, b 1834, who is buried at Ebenezer, was the daughter of Reubin Thompson's son, Rev Robert Thompson, and his wife Mildred Amelia Beasley. She married Robert Smith Kitchen, who died in the Civil War, then she married Alexander Chestnut Flanders (b 1828 son of John Ruskin Flanders and Nancy Sumner). Alexander Chestnut Sumner first married Rachel Moxley and they were the parents of the Jordan who was born in born in 1851. John Ruskin Flanders b 1796 and (John) Jordan Flanders b 1793 were brothers, sons of Francis Richard Flanders and Nancy Jordan. I think I have all of this straight.
