    3. Carol, I have Moore's in my line. My Grandmother was Eva Ophelia Davis Griffin. One of her sister's married a Moore in Emanuel County. Right now I can't remember if it was Georgia Davis or her other sister. A lot of my stuff is packed up right now because I am moving this week. Dempsey Moore and a GW Moore are listed in my Grandparent's family bible. Showing Dempsey being born in 1832. Can you help me out on this. It also shows GW Moore as being the son of Dempsey. Thanks for any help! In the 1850 Emanuel Co census, she is listed as Epsabah (she has been discussed some on this list before). Something else I noticed is that she and her husband Jesse had a son named Arezaman born about 1838. It has occurred me that Epsabah might be the daughter of Gideon Hayes, who wife is thought by some to have been Susannah Anderson. Since my 2great-grandfather Arelzaman Anderson was a son of Joseph Anderson and Winifred (probably Hayes, Gideon's daughter), this would make a lot of sense to me. Susannah Hayes' children Garry and Hilpiseth are named in guardianship papers in Emanuel Co in 1822, after Gideon's death. I have seen Gideon's daughter listed as Hepzibah, but perhaps it was really Epsabah? Any thoughts? Carol B. 3. Tina, I don't do a lot of Moore research since this isn't a direct line of mine, which is why I was asking for help. I am, however, accumulating quite a few Moores, between my husband's family and mine, as collateral lines. I did find that Thomas D. Moore b July 1849 was a brother of James B. Moore b 1848 (who married Nancy Ann Anderson, sister of my greatgrandmother Elizabeth). Dempsey b 1832 was a son of Jesse Moore, while Thomas D Moore and James B Moore were sons of Jesse's brother James L. Moore. Thomas D Moore married Martha Hall, a daughter of my 2greatgrandparents John Choice Hall and Margaret Rowell. Someone else on the list can probably better help you with Dempsey's children, but it sounds like you are on the right track.
