Remember that Family Tree Maker will not revert to a lower version. If you have comverted your file to a higher version with out saving a copy of the old version you will not be able to read it unless you save it in the newer version stating you want it saved to a lower version of FTM. Before you try something new you should copy and save the older version so you can revert back to it. I looked at 2005 when I was in Georgia last October and did not like what I saw so I stuck with version 11. My cousin in Savannah has had nothing but trouble from the new version 2005. But each to his own. Just remember to alway save a copy of your original file before trying something new. Andy Sims Va. Claudia, I talked with someone at the FTM headquarters and he said you would have to go through the process Nancy sent yesterday. I have also thought of going back to the earlier version. Lucy and others with FTM 2005 Are you saying when you print a Family Tree Maker 2005 genealogy report, the "notes" and "more" section are not included in the print out? The "more" section is where I have the obituaries and any detailed info on the individual. I think I'll go back to the older version. Thanks claudia

Looking for the parents of Rilla Kight, wife of John Claxton. They are pictured in Images of America: Johnson County Georgia on page 120 with their children: Albert, Pauline, Ruby, Maudie, Bessy, Eddie and Clifford. Article states their father, John Claxton, "was a marshall in Kite." Thanks, Eva Mullins Descendant of Shadrick (Shadrack) Kight and Martha Jewell.

The unfortunate thing about the new notes section is you can't print it easily like the older FTM. In fact, I haven't found the key to printing the notes. There will be a Revolutionary War Memorial Service for Jacob Durden (1755-1845) on April 24, 2005. The service will be at 3:00 PM at the Canady Cemetary. This cemetary is in Emanuel Co., Ga. It is located about 3 mile off of Highway 80 on North Old Reidsville Road, which is about halfway between Swainsboro and Twin City. The Service is being sponsored by the Sons of American Revolutionary Soldiers. All descendants of Jacob Durden are invited to attend. SARS will be placing a new headstone on Jacob Durden's grave. For more information please contact me at burkeco03fan@yahoo.com or burkeco03fan@aol.com ============================================ It is my understanding that they will use the DAR headstone as the footstone. Does anyone have the screen name for Diane Lindsey Wells?
Can anyone supply any information on the siblings of William E. Boatright? I have nothingb but names. Thanks, Ben
Thanks, Edith. I guess once I become familiar with the new version, it will be okay. Right now, it's a learning process. Diane
Diane, Click on edit by name of person you are working on. Next page will come up-on top line you will see notes. Click on this. You can not copy just notes as you did in the earlier Family Tree. After you read or add info, BE SURE TO CLICK OIN OK. I did not at first and wiped out some of my notes. I was furious. I e-mailed the company and they explained to me how to keep this from happening. Good Luck. Edith

Did you update to the newest system? I had trouble finding the notes also but that section is hidden under something below the name. If you don;don't find it let me know and I'll go my program and see where it is. Claudia, Be careful!! I deleted some of my notes on my family by not clicking on OK. You can reach notes by clicking on notes on the top line of your screen. It is very confusing. I do not like this improvement. Edith Brown Dekle
A recent post to this list named John Hayes and Sarah Hendley as the parents of Garry Hayes (1809-1880). Prior posts gave proof that Gideon and Susannah "Sukey" Hayes were his parents. Olivia

I'm not actively researching the Jesse Edenfield line, I was just following up on Olivia's query in which she indicated John M. was the brother. I found John M. Edenfield next door in 1860, and made the presumption that he was a sibling. Thanks for your clarification. Kelli Mallard
