Enoch James Faircloth's father was James L.B. Faircloth (1815-aft. 1870). No proof at this time, but I believe James L.B.'s brother, George Washington Faircloth (c. 1790-bef. 1850) and Barbara Britt (1795-aft. 1860) were the parents of Matilda. I know Barbara was her mother. Can anyone give me the parents and siblings of Julia Ann Heath (1812 - 1877), married to John Lane Newton. They both died in Emanuel County. I see that this question was asked on this board a couple of years ago, but I could not find that it was answered. My apologies if this is repetitive. Thanks. Richard Monk
This is what my daughter wrote today about David Lamb. Olivia I hate that about Mr. Lamb. He taught me in the 7th grade (English). I remember to this day how he would arrange us in his classroom according to our average. You never wanted to sit in that last desk!! I got a lot of my perfectionism from him. He would count off a point for every "t" not crossed, every "i" not dotted, any punctuation missing, etc. Even if you didn't fold your paper neat enough, you would lose points. I kept a 100 average there for awhile. He would walk around with my papers looking for a mistake. He was also the headmaster of DEA for the year that I worked there. I really liked him. What is really weird, is that I dreamed about him Thursday. I woke up that morning trying to remember his daughter's name. I finally came up with it. I wish I had known sooner; I would've gone to the funeral home. Thanks for telling me. Lisa
