    1. Brown/Cobb
    2. News flash... I made a mistake in an earlier post ... lol In referring to Henry Brown's wife, I meant to say "Sarah" not Susan. I found the documents: Bark Camp Baptist Church Records Burke County, - Curtis and wife Matilda COBB ... Rec'd by Letter June 23, 1821, Dismissed by Letter May 23, 1829. An Elizabeth Brown ... departed this life Jan. 1836 A Henry Brown dismissed by letter in 1839. Curtis Cobb then went to Hebron Church in Emanuel County. ELAM Baptist Church: Extracts from Church Minutes Constituted on Jan. 10, 1842 Elam Curch was an offshoot of Hebron Church in Emanuel County. Brothers Curtis COBB and Robert Donaldson were chosen "to act as presbytery" The Hebron Church roll 1818-1860 only names males with no dates... #3 Henry Brown; #6 Britin Brown; #11 Nathaniel Cowart (married to Matilda COBB) #26 Henry Brown; #68 Jeremiah Grimes ... Last Entry: Added members. (No dates given but names a few female members.) Was MaryAnn Brown who married Britain COBB related to this Henry Brown who was living next to Jeremiah and Jemimah COBB Grimes in the 1850 censu? THANKS IN ADVANCE for any help in finding the Henry Brown who married a daughter of Curtis COBB.

    2. Carol Riner Everett
    3. Okay, we know that William Z. "Zeby" LAWSON married Mattie SCREWS, daughter of Zachariah SCREWS and Lydia "Liddie" McKINSEY/McKENZIE. William's 1st cousin Albert Wesley "Wes" LAWSON (1878-1970), son of James Benjamin LAWSON & Julia Amanda ROWELL, married a Rosa SCREWS (1881-1954). Unfortunately, with Rosa being born in 1881 and marrying in 1899, she does not show up on either the 1880 or 1900 Censuses as a SCREWS. Curses on the fire that destroyed the 1890 Census!! Rosa is possibly a daughter of Zachariah SCREWS or one of his brothers. Does anyone know who her parents are? Carol __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I didn't save the source, but it was a family member who posted that sometime back. I wonder if Sarah was actually Zachariah's child though since he and Elizabeth were obviously separated prior to 1870, UNLESS the census taker failed to include Elizabeth and George when he enumerated that household. It's odd she can't be found anywhere else. Olivia
