Carol, Do you think Gus Hudson's name might have been Augustus A. "Gus"? When I first copied the 1900 census, I misread his initial as an H and not an A. Later, I read it as an A, but didn't correct my records. I was kept on listing him as Augustus H.! Nancy 32; born Apr 1868; 10 children, 6 living Wyley 16; born Aug 1883; son Hattie 11; born Feb 1889; daughter Jessie 7; born 1893; son Clarrie 4; born Sep 1895; daughter I was surprised to learn that there were more children, other than Willie/Wyley, Hattie, and Clara. Now, if 6 children were living, who were the other 2 and where were they? The 1910 Census states that Nancy had 4 children, 3 of whom were living. Presumably, Jessie died young, since Willie is said to have moved to Florida.
