    3. If Lonie & Jim SPENCE are brother and sister, do we know who their parents are? I have a Tobe SPENCE and wife Lizzie who have a son named James born about Apr 1893. Are these their parents? It seems the Cross and Spence families tie in with the Green, McGar and Lamb families quite a bit. That was my interest when I was researching them a few years ago.     3. When I sent out the SPENCE information, there was a good bit of CROSS stuff there, as well. Mama is visiting me for a week (my oldest daughter graduates from college today!!). She told me that the CROSS family ties in with her Mama's side - either ALLEN or COLEMAN. I've done a lot of digging, but have not found the connection yet. The CROSS family originated in Burke County. My gggg-grandfather Barnabus ALLEN married a woman named Ethelinda born about 1809 in Burke County. It is "possible" that she is a CROSS or is related in some way, but I have no idea what her maiden name is. It would be lovely to be able to make the connection. Anyway, I've gathered lots of CROSS data over the last few days, so I'm sending it to the list in 2-e parts in the hopes that it will help someone with their research.
