Dear Carol, Where did you find this. This is great. Isaac Hall was my 2x great grandfather, Sarahanne Marintha Durden Odom "Aunt Rinthey" was the younger sister to my 3x great grandfather William Durden b. 1829. My grandfather was raised by his grandparents Isaac and Eliza Ann Elizabeth Durden Hall. After his grandmother died his grandfather Isaac married her first cousin Aunt Rinthey. My grandpa lived with them, until Isaac died in 1913. The children gave Aunt Rinthey $1000.00 to leave the old homeplace to the Hall children. Please let me know where you found this article. This one is interesting! The Atlanta Constitution Emanuel County Man Killed in Florida Dec. 10, 1910 The remains of Felix Corbin, who was murdered at Milton Fla. day before yesterday, arrived at Oak Park, in this county, last night, and will be interred in the family burying ground near the old Corbin homestead. Many rumors are current as the way that Corbin came to his death. The most authentic report is that Corbin was at his home when he was called to the door, and, under cover of darkness, a volley of shots was fired at him, one of them striking him and producing death. Another report is that he was shot down by the sheriff of Santa Rosa in an attempt to arrest him. It will be remembered that Corbin who was a former resident of the county, was wanted here for the assault and battery on the persons of Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Thompson and their young daughter. Sheriff Fields, after considerable trouble, located him in Florida, and with requisition papers went to Santa Rosa county to get Corbin and bring him back to this county for trial. This was about five months ago. Corbin refused to come, and under a writ of habeas corpus, was given a hearing. The result of this proceeding gave Corbin his freedom. Sheriff Fields then made affidavit that Corbin was a fugitive from justice, and Sheriff Collins, of Santa Rosa, re-arrested Corbin and turned him over to Sheriff Fields, who brought him back here. As soon as he reached this county Corbin gave bond for his appearance, returned to Florida and issued warrants for both Sheriff Fields and Sheriff Collins in the United States Court. Both officers were arrested and placed under bond. Have not run found a follow-up article on it yet. Dawn

Went back and checked the paper again. I corrected one part, I had left out George Lewis . Here is exactly what the paper reads. The Atlanta Constitution April 24, 1910 Arraigned on the charge of murder as a result of the feud battle fought Sunday afternoon, April 17, in this county, between the Collins and Lewis families, and in which A.S. Collins and his son, Wilson Collins, were killed. Joseph Lewis, and his son, George Lewis, and George Hart, were today acquitted. Alma Lewis, who also was under arrest, but too badly wounded to be tried, she will not be brought to trail. The widow of Joseph Collins was a witness. It is stated that during the battle she took her husband's gun away from him and that her husband and son were killed before her eyes.
Where did the Joseph come from? His name was Andrew Stokes Collins.
