Travel 3 miles, Cem. is on the left. This is an old family cemetery that has not been used since the late 1800's. The Watson family has put a fence around it and cleans it up once a year. It is located near the old Cowart's pond on the Candler-Emanuel County Line. It is where the Watson family located when they came to Ga from Edgefield, S.C. There are several markers w/o names and dates, three known as slaves. (Recorded by Willette J. 3. Mike, I do not have the information you are seeking. Have you see the "Coward-Cowart Chronicles 1650 - 1997" by Robert J. Robinson? It is a genealogy of James and Mary Alloway Coward. If you have not seen it and want more information, let me know.
