Does anyone have documented proof that James E. ANDERSON, b. abt 1790 NC, & Elizabeth MOBLEY, m. 1818 Elbert Co., GA were the parents of Joseph E. ANDERSON, b. 1837? Joseph E. ANDERSON was twice married. First marriage to Melinda Jane ASHLEY, b. 1842 Abbeville, SC, d. 1871 Elbert Co., GA. Second marriage to Elizabeth "Lizzie" Alexander in 1872 in Elbert Co., GA. There are many descendants of these families still living in the Northeast area of Georgia & Western SC. Hopefully someone has some additional information on this lineage. Any help appreciated.
