People that I am interested in from early Elbert Co., GA include: DOOLEY/DOOLY [sometimes spelled DULA, DULEY, DULIN in the early records] Thomas Dula [Dooly] asked for land for himself and 11 in 1804 Elbert Co. William Dula [Dooly] asked for land for self and 1 at the same time. Later records show that there was a Wm.Dooly Sr. whose wife was Rebecca McKinney and a Wm. Jr whose wife was Elizabeth. According to census records both Williams appear to be about the same age. POWELL Francis Powell, Sr. & Jr. mentioned in deeds as early as 1804, 1812 RICE Jesse Rice listed in the 1820 census RAY Peter in 1820 census, George W., William BRYAN/BRYANT Thomas Bryant [later Bryan] married Mary Dooly. There was both a Thomas Sr. and a Thomas Jr. in the records. Would like to exchange on any of these names. Pat
