(from "Remnant Tax Digest"); land grant 1790 on Beverdam Creek, Elbert Co.; received grants in Irwin & Appling Co.'s as RWS of Webb's District, Elbert Co. Was said to be "of Elbert Co." on 1838 deed selling Irwin land to Christopher Clark.) - Daniel's son John Casey: b. VA ~1780 m. ~1800, Elizabeth Pace b. 1782 (dau. of Barnabas Pace), d. 1870 in Hall Co., GA d. bef. 4 July 1844 in Hall Co. GA John and Elizabeth were parents of at least 10 children presently known to this researcher, probably a couple of others. - John's son Wiley Jenkins Casey, my direct ancestor: b. 23 May 1802 GA m. Matilda White b. 12 June 1814 GA, d. 18 Sept 1907 in Spring Garden, Cherokee Co., AL d. 22 Nov 1891 in Spring Garden, Cherokee Co., AL Wiley and Matilda were parents of 13 children, one of whom also was named Wiley Jenkins Casey.
