After sending a query to this list yesterday looking for the parents of Peter Rucker that married Mary Hailey, I received some information but that just made for more questions. Burton Rucker is listed on page 184 in the Rucker Book by Sudie Rucker Wood. The book doesn't name a wife for him but it does name Willis Rucker married to Milly Alexander as his son. The book tells about Willis Rucker on pages 184 and 185. This Willis Rucker does seem to be the parent of Peter Rucker that married Mary Hailey. Now what bothers me.... I remember reading in the Rucker rootsweb messages that this Rucker book by Sudie Rucker Wood has many errors. Is this Burton Rucker listed as father of Willis Rucker one of those errors? Now that I have Willis Rucker and Milly Alexander as parents of Peter Rucker that married Mary (Molly) Hailey), yesterday on the internet and after writing to a few folks, I was sent the names of another couple as the parents of Willis Rucker that married Milly Alexander. The Rucker book says Willis Rucker that married Milly Alexander is son of Burton Rucker (son of John Rucker and Mary Burton > son of Thomas Rucker and Elizabeth Reynolds) and Unknown wife. And another person claims Willis Rucker that married Milly Alexander is son of George Alexander (son of James Rucker and Elizabeth Read) and Mary Aiken. Do any of you have another source that would help to confirm the parents of Willis Rucker that married Milly Alexander? Then finding the parents of Milly Alexander that married Willis Rucker is a whole nuther story. Seems several parents are claiming her too. One listed her parents as William Alexander (son of James Alexander and Elizabeth Read) and Frances Rucker (daughter of Thomas Rucker and Elizabeth Reynolds). Another says her parents are George Alexander (son of James Alexander and Elizabeth Read) and Mary Aiken. Do any of you have something concrete as to the parents of Milly Alexander? thanks, mona
