Amy, there are three or possibly four Moses Fleming marriages in the Elbert County Marraige book by Ann Hollomon. Moses A. Fleming married Mary M. Steadman, October 22, 1874. That's barely out of your range. Moses G. Fleming married Elizabeth M. Hailey May 17, 1866. We'll squeeze her in based on the middle initial. Moses T. Fleming married Mary E. Strickland April 18, 1861. A Moses T. Fleming married a Mrs. Frances Thornton December 12, 1837. Of the above, I'd vote for Mary Strickland as the likely suspect, perhaps a secnd marriage for Moses T. The only Nancy Fleming marriage shown is for Nancy A., who married John W. Jordan in January 1853. John Cullen Ward does not show up among the groom's listings at all. Part of Elbert County was carved off to help form Hart County in 1853...and there were a bunch of Flemings shown in the 1860 census of Hart County. Good luck. --Jim Lee
