Hello... I have two requests that I'm wondering if someone can help me with!! First, I am wondering if someone could please look up in the marriage book for the marriages after 1850 for any Flemings that might have been married in the 1850's and 1860's. I'm most interested to find if there are any marriages for a Moses Fleming to a Mary ? I would appreciate it so much if someone would be able to do this!!! :) Second, I am looking for the Flemings in Elbert Co., GA and I'm wondering if anyone would have any information on them. >From what I can figure, they most likely came from Iredell Co., NC...and are in the Elbert Co. GA census by 1820. The oldest Fleming I've found in Sarah Fleming who was 85 years old in the 1850 census. From information I've found though, I believe she was married to a Fleming, and that it probably wasn't her maiden name. I'm really searching for a Nancy E. Fleming (born 1865) who was buried in Rock Branch Church Cemetery, and who married George Cullen Ward, when she was about 17 years old in 1882. There is also a Sarah Fleming (born 1862) buried in Rock Branch Cemetery, and a Mary E. (born 1824) and married to Moses Fleming. My guess would be that Nancy and Sarah were the children of Moses and Mary E., simply because they are close together in the same cemetery, although I see no listings for Moses' death or burial. Now there is a Moses T. Fleming (born 1800) that keeps showing up everywhere I look. I believe he was married 2-3 times, and the wife he is buried next to is Frances Adams (1st wife of John Thorton). Moses and Frances were married in 1837. My thought is that perhaps he had a son with his first wife perhaps named Moses, who married Mary E? Although I have no proof of that and it's really just a guess. Anyway...I'm just wondering if this sound familiar to anyone and would love to swap information!!! Thanks so much for any help anyone may be able to provide!! Amy
