Some time ago I corresponded with several of the descendants of these folks of lived in Elbert Co., GA and then in Henry Co. AL. I have a simple question to ask of any of the folks descended from William and Polly: Would any of you say that the following statement is true--"William and Polly were wealthy slaveowners in SC." I ask in the hopes of finding a final answer to the question of whether or not my GALLOWAY ancestor was related to the said William and Polly (Ragan) GALLOWAY.
