I am researching info. on Joseph Ford born in Elbert Co. GA in 1802. He is my Ggggrandfather. He married in Jasper Co. and moved to Floyd Co., GA where he had plantation and lived until he died. His Mother was Elizabeth from Va. Does anyone in Elbert Co. have any info on Joseph? Are there still Ford's living in Elbert Co? Does anyone know of and Isaac Ford married to Elizabeth who had two daughters born in Elbert Co? The two daughters were Mary "Polly" 1795-1881 and Nancy 1806-1846 both of whom married brothers by the name of Pledger. Nancy died in Floyd Co.,GA. Could her family have followed Joseph Ford ?
