Cecil Gaines: I think I have a member of your family one or two generations down: JOHN CUNNINGHAM ADAMS, b. 1810 in Elbert County and d. between 1848 and 1850, again in Elbert. He was son of JAMES ADAMS and JANE CUNNINGHAM. He married FAITH ANN DICKERSON (1812--1895), dau. of ROBERT DICKERSON and SUSAN SHEPERD. ROBERT'S father, ZACHARIAH DICKERSON, is in my direct line. JOHN C. ADAMS and FAITH ANN DICKERSON had one son, HIRAM GAINES ADAMS, October 14, 1839, d. Sept 4, 1910 in Elbert County. Carol Walker: HIRAM GAINES ADAMS married PARTENA JANE KEZIAH BLAKE SEYMOUR Dec. 10, 1865 in Elbert County. She was dau. of JOHN SEYMOUR and NANCY CHRISTIAN, b. Nov 10, 1843 and died March 26, 1926 in Elbert County. They had one son, HENRY MARTIN SEYMOUR ADAMS, b. June 4, 1883 at Dewy Rose and died October 30, 1969 at Athens, GA. --Jim Lee
