Also in Elbert County, John's father, Nathan CHILDS (died Elbert 1806) and an uncle John CHILDS. He was a Revolutionary Soldier, earned 4 draws in Captain Tucker's District in the Georgia land lottery for Revolutionary Service of 1827, which encompassed Carroll, Coweta, Lee, Muscogee, and Troup Counties. Lewis Childs also drew in the same district. Macon County will names children, two of whom are: Elisha & Elijah CHILDS twins born 18 January 1800 in Elbert County. Elisha Married Cynthia THORNTON b. 1798. At least one Child: Henry Aaron or Aaron Henry Childs b. 30 Oct 1836 m. Catherine Justice in Alabama Looking primarily for source information on Childs family connections in Elbert County, GA. There are many named in the "Van's Creek Baptist Church History" which I cannot place among the family. Also any clue to who Nathan Childs, Sr.'s father was.
