Sandy, Is there a chance you have a Rice connected to Bass, Jackson or Parker's. I know in NC there were Bass and Rice marriages. But, thought there might be in Ga as well. Thanks, Winnette Researching: Armstrong (Al-SC), Barrow(Ga, Fl, SC), Bass (NC/GA), Copeland (GA?), Cox(GA/SC), Hainey(GA?), Hatcher(AL/Ga), Jackson (SC-Fl), Mosley(Al), Stinson(Al) Taylor(Al) and White(GA/NC) and all Parkers in SC, GA, Fl and AL......I have 4 Parker families
I have 3 listings of Bass in my family tree: an UNKNOWN Bass who married Molly/Polly Nichols (no information for them), the second is Sarah Bass (no dates or locations) who married Julius Nichols (b. March 1757 Granville Co., N.C. d. May 18, 1838 in Franklin Co., GA.). They were married February 3, 1783 in Wake County, N.C., and my last Bass is Mary Dorthea Bass (b. 1823 d. 1898) who married C.S.A. Col. Randolph Spaulding (b. 1822 d. 1862 in Savannah, GA.). They were married in 1843 in Randolph, Alabama. Now my question for you is which Barrow are you looking for? I have a line that is connected directly to my Lumpkins and Cobbs of Athens, Clarke County, GA. I have the line all the way back into England and my Barrow that is from Edgecombe Co., N.C. is James Barrow (b. January 31, 1757 d. January 20, 1828 Baldwin Co., GA. and buried in Athens, Clarke Co., GA. at Oconee Hill Cemetery). He married Patience Crenshaw (b. May 15, 1779 d. October 26, 1817 Athens, Clarke Co., Georgia (Oconee Hill Cemetery). I have quite a bit of information on this family that you can see on my Lumpkin Family webpage: http://64.81.22.233/sandy/ or http://64.81.22.233/sandy/lumpkin.htm . I almost think that we may have a connection somewhere. :o) Sandy Kelly Atlanta, GA. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg & Winnette" <gnw@rose.net> To: "Sandy Kelly" <sandyk@speakeasy.org>; <GAELBERT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 05, 2001 8:16 AM Subject: Re: [GAELBERT] Looking For Duncan, Dooley, & Rice Sandy, Is there a chance you have a Rice connected to Bass, Jackson or Parker's.
