I show a John Wm Baker b 9/22/1858 married to Frances Angeline Sanders b abt 1861, in my ancestor's line and am wondering if it is the same John W Baker.     2. I am researching info. on Joseph Ford born in Elbert Co. GA in 1802. He is my Ggggrandfather. He married in Jasper Co. and moved to Floyd Co., GA where he had plantation and lived until he died. His Mother was Elizabeth from Va. Does anyone in Elbert Co. have any info on Joseph? Are there still Ford's living in Elbert Co? Does anyone know of and Isaac Ford married to Elizabeth who had two daughters born in Elbert Co? The two daughters were Mary "Polly" 1795-1881 and Nancy 1806-1846 both of whom married brothers by the name of Pledger. Nancy died in Floyd Co.,GA. Could her family have followed Joseph Ford ?     3. Ken, I don't know much but you would need to remember that depending on the time frame you are looking at in history, you might find info in Franklin, Elbert or Hart. If you go to usgenweb, you can find GA and look at the counties formation dates. They even have some maps. I found a great site on Ancestry.com and you can probably go there by typing in http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/reference/maps let me know if you have any problems. Mrs. Ryder was born in Elberton, Ga and moved to this area in 1925 from Atlanta. She was a member of First Church of Christ Science-Ormond Beach and an affiliate church in Franklin NC. She enjoyed dancing. Survivors include a brother, Bill Bridges, Port Orange Fl :3 sisters, Ineata Bollinger and Dorothy Hilsheimer, both of Orange City FL and Roberta Billings, Ormond Beach FL ; and a neice, Jody Winslett, Ormond By The Sea, who provided for her care.
