    1. [GAELBERT] event SANDERS 1844/45
    2. Gale Sanders
    3. Is anyone searching for Nathaniel Sanders or Samuel Sanders? They would have been in Franklin County in 1842/1844. I know it's not much to go on but that's all that I have. Their names appear on a land warrant for that County. If it could help, the encompassing land area belonged to PATTERSON's and Neil or Noel SHELTON. Thanks for anything you have. 1. [GAELBERT] addtl info on Earliest Churches
    2. Gale Sanders
    3. Hey folks, a post I just received made me realize that I didn't specify which CHURCHES I was looking for. Since the ancestors that I AM aware of were all of the BAPTIST faith or they were BAPTIST preachers/ministers, I would think that those are the CHURCHES that I would be most interested in, at this point. Sorry for the omission on the previous post. 1. [GAELBERT] Earliest Churches
    2. Gale Sanders
    3. First of all, I am sending this query to several lists. I apologize now for any inconvenience you may have due to the fact that you are on several mailing lists and get duplicates of the following. Secondly, I need some help. I need to know the earliest churches that were in the WILKES CO, FRANKLIN CO, ELBERT CO, and HART CO, GEORGIA. If you know the names but nothing else, please let me know. If you only know the churches for one area, please feel free to email me. My goal is to get the names and to find when each of them came into exsistance. I am talking about the very first churches in each of these counties. Maybe some historians are reading this, and I would love to hear from you. If you know of some reference books with this information, I would like to know that also. Thanks so much. 1. [GAELBERT] If I told you I would do a lookup.....
    2. Gale Sanders
    3. Hello, I'm posting again (to lists it might have happened on) in case my subject line wasn't clear enough the first time. Someone on the lists, I'm hoping it was this one, had an ancester that I think lived in FLORDIA. She was not able to get out and do any lookups. If you are that person, please email me again. If I remember correctly, you were wondering where that ancestor was born? Doesn't matter, if you and I talked, and I told you I would do something, just email me :) Thanks, Gale Sanders TEXAS _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

Mattie's age at the time of the census was either 41 or 47. They had been married for 27 years at this time. This would mean that they married ca 1873. In 1900 time I know that Fannie had already married Walter Bates on November 15, 1892 and that Samuel Russell Smith had already married Addie M. Mills on January 29, 1897. {I have found a listing for a James Willis Smith buried at Old Eliam Methodist Cemetery in Elbert County. The only marker is a confederate marker with Co. of CBC, 15th district, Georgia Infantry, CSA. It is located on plot 147.} I also found a James W. Smith who served with the confederate army from Elberton as a private and surrendered at Appomattox. I am unsure of whether these people have a relationship to James W. 2. Gale Sanders
    3. Hi listmembers, I'm sending this to just a few of the lists that I am on so if you get several copies, I apologize for that now. I know this is not a topic of the mailing list but as so many of you have access to a great many resources I was hoping someone could give me a lead or that you might have this information. Or, you might know where it is on the internet, short of me going to the ARCHIVES. I have already exhausted THE OLIVE TREE, IMMIGRANT SHIPS TRANSCRIBERS GUILD and others I can't quite think of right off the top of my head. What I'm looking for is a ship of the J&J COOKE shipping line, that sailed from Londonderry Ireland to Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1847. I want to see the passenger lists if possible. Looking for Robert and Mary Hamilton, children, brother and sister. Thanks for any help. 1. [GAELBERT] Thomas H. Sanders alive in 1923 GA or SC re: Elias Sanders 1775
    2. Gale Sanders
    3. Hello Everybody!!! I'm looking for a connection to a certain branch of my SANDERS family. This family goes back to ELIAS SANDERS born 1775 in either NC or MD. He married MARY CARTER born 1775 SC. They both lived and died in HART Co, GA in 1860-65. Someone in the line named Thomas H. Sanders wrote some letters to the Government in 1923, about land and other things connected with Elias. If you are from this line then you will know what I'm talking about, hopefully!! There is much more to this as you might know. I want to talk, email or whatever with anyone from this branch of our SANDERS line to compare notes. If your ggrandfather, grandfather, or father was Thomas H. Sanders and lived, more than likely in either GEORGIA or SOUTH CAROLINA during the 1923's, please get in touch with me at the following: Email: LGaleSanders@hotmail.com Phone: 972-205-1872 leave message for call back or write to me at: Gale Sanders 922 West Ave F Garland, TX 75040 If you have any knowledge or speculations AT ALL about this such as which Thomas H. Sanders he was (as there were so many) etc....feel free to contact me as I'd love to hear from you. Been away from this for a bit but trying to get back into it. Also, if any of you ELIAS SANDERS researchers have been thinking of ordering records from the archives, let me know. If you have any official records or documents or know where to find same, would love to hear about that as well.
