    1. [GAELBERT] Brawner Family
    2. We're trying to find information on the land owned by Bazil Brawner in the early 1800's - at the northeast corner of Antioch Road and Stinchcomb Church Road. We don't have Brawners in our line -- but our Jesse Brown owned the land from sometime in the 1830's until 1864 when it was sold to J. G. Deadwyler, who sold it to Frances Gaines. So far, we haven't been able to find any deed from the Brawners selling this land -- and we're trying to learn how Jesse Brown got it -- as there's no record of his buying it either. We don't know Jesse's parents - and are therefore wondering if he might be related to the Brawners in some way??? Any help or ideas or suggestions will be most appreciated. Thanks so much. Ardie Brown

    3. I don't think John C. Adams was born as late as 1810. His mother Jane would have been 54. Not impossible, but not likely. That would also leave a 6 year gap between him & his sister born in 1804. Grace S. 1. [GAELBERT] MCALLISTER - MAXWELL
    2. Justin T. Long
    3. My dead end is two MCALLISTER sisters: Jane Elizabeth MCALLISTER (1832-1868) m. Josephus MAXWELL on 7 Dec 1854 in Elbert Co. After her death Josephus married Leonora Matilda "Kitty" MCALLISTER (1846-1930). Kitty's obituary lists a brother, L. Milton MCALLISTER. The McAllisters were from South Carolina, probably Abbeville Co. Has any MAXWELL researcher tracked down this McALLISTER family? Any help would be appreciated. 3. Thank you, Leonard! I appreciate you telling me about that. :o) I'm about about 2 hours from Elbert County. I have been there several time, mainly for cemetery hopping and looking for my ancestors ( I did not find Leonard) but since I can usually only get out there on weekends the court house is closed. I did finally manage to get a copy of the book "The History Of Elbert County, Georgia" which has some information in there on all of the lines that I am looking for from that area! So that helped a lot! :o) Sandy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leonard F. 3. I am reaching anywhere now for some information on my Pierce lines! I have not been able to get them out of Jackson and Clarke County, Georgia so when you mentioned some Pierces in Elbert County I thought I would give this a shot: I have a Miner Pierce who married Ada Butler (I have not dates or locations for them though). Their children are: William "Bill" Milton Loyd Jackson Pierce (b. Jan. 28, 1904 d. Feb. 16, 1960) married Della Coelia Jarrett Darlene Pierce married Van Brooks Lula Pierce Emma Pierce (b. 1901 d. 1968) married Pete Chancey Marvin Pierce married Rose Tom Pierce Jeanie Pierce Now here is the twist with my pierce lines: my grandfather, William Artice Pierce (son of Wm. Milton Loyd Jackson Pierce & Della Coelia Jarrett), married Rosina PIERCE. We believe that somewhere back in our lines they are connected back a cousin but we have not been able to trace either line back very far. Here is the Pierce information for my grandmother, Rosina: Jasper Newt Pierce, Jr. (b. 1882 d. Sept. 22, 1973) married Emma Jean Chancey (she is the sister of the Pete Chancey mentioned above in the OTHER Pierce line, hence double connection there). Their children are: Buddy Pierce married Flossie Hershel Pierce married Mildred Tommy Pierce married Doris Rosina Pierce (b. Sept. 17, 1922) married William Artice Pierce Carl Pierce married Geneva Fields Does any of this match anything that you have? Thanks! Sandy L. 1. Re: [GAELBERT] Joseph Bell/Elizabeth Moseley
    2. Sandy Kelly
    3. I have a Joseph Bell who married Elizabeth Morely that I have no dates or information for them. Could my Elizabeth Morely and your Elizabeth MOSELEY be the same? Did they have a daughter named Nancy Bell (b. 1763 in Orange Co., Virginia and is buried at the Old Landrum/Norton Family Cemetery, located in the woods off of Cunningham Rd. near Lexington, Oglethorpe Co., GA.)? She married Thomas Landrum, Jr. (b. October 06, 1759 in Orange Co., VA. d.1833 Oglethorpe Co., Ga. & buried at the Old Landrum/Norton Family Cemetery, located in the woods off of Cunningham Rd. near Lexington, Oglethorpe Co., GA.). I spent 6 years searching for the cemetery that is mentioned and this past Fall my cousin and I located it. There are about 15 to 20 unidentified graves there from the 1700's with only 2 of them identified--those being Thomas Landrum & Thomas Norton. The cemetery is in a very deteriorated state---there are even trees growing from the graves themselves so we have made plans to go down there soon to clean it up a bit. Anyway, I am excited to know if I have a match with the two Elizabeths!!! Thanks so much! Sandy L.
