Naomi I noticed your surnames on your recent post, and also saw that you are reseaching in Clay county.....My gr-gr granmother was Nancy A Jernigan who married Rev. James Peter Dawson in Clay Co. in 1856......On their marriage record it is spelled "Jonakin" first and at the bottom of the page it looks as tho it is spelled "Jouringon".....Anyway, I have also seen in other places, it was spelled Jernigan.....Was wondering if you have Nancy in your line......I haven't begun researching this particular line as of yet, but plan to soon.....My goodness, there are so many lines to look for..LOL Thanks..
