R. Batchelor Dies Following Lenthly Illness John Ralph Batchelor, 68, well known Early countian, died at his home in the Lucile community, early Friday morning, following an illness of long duration. A native of Miller County, where he was born August 1, 1894, he was the son of the late W. J. Batchelor and Mollie Harris Batchelor. Before illness prevented it, he operated a farm and store at Lucile, where he had resided for the past 20 years. Mr. Batchelor was a member of the White Plains Free Will Baptist Church where his funeral was held Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock, the Rev. Jessie Pollock officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Manry-Minter Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements and the following serving as pall-bearers: M. C. Powell, Martin Murkerson, Oliver Houston, Pete Houston, Cecil Love and Carlton Scarborough. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Cooper Batchelor; four sons, Crozier and Bruce Batchelor, Blakely; Crystal Batchelor, Macon; Virgil Batchelor, Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. L. E.
