Houston Mrs. Josephine Mock Houston, 88, widow of Roy Houston, Rt. 3, Blakely, a life-time resident of the New Hope Community, died early Tuesday morning in a local hospital following a long illness. Born in Early County October 18, 1884, she was the daughter of Charlie Marcellus Mock and Kitty Ethridge Mock. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Richard Blevins, pastor, and the Rev. Glenn Sheppard, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Blakely. Interment was in the George Cemetery. Manry-Jordan Funeral Home was in charge. Survivors are a daughter, Miss Lulleen Houston, Blakely, two sons, Griffin Houston, Blakely, Ralph Houston, Albany; sister, Mrs. C.C. Middleton, Blakely, and two brothers, Marion and Maynard Mock, Blakely; 5 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchil dren. Pallbearers were: Wally Houston, Donald Houston, Herman Houston, Ralph Houston, Jr., Robert Bowles and James Hare.
