I check both of these and found some interesting connections for you. Joyce sights the following linage on page 10 of her book: William Temple I Samuel Temple SR. Samuel Temple JR. 1720, wife Mary inherited Temple's Mill at Temple's Mill Pond Jacob Temple 1744 Jones Temple Sarah Temple 1780-86 b. Georgia, she would be the most likely candidate for you Sarah of 1850. Joyce also states that she marrys a Christopher Burt b. NC 1775 "Jacob, his father was closely associated with Jones Bonner and that who is probably named after. Jacob's wife was Sarah Chambliss Lee, daughter of Samuel Lee SR. Both Sanuel and Jacob were cousins, both descendants of Samuel Tatum", "In 1786, Jacob Temple of South Carolina gave power of attorney to Henry Williams of Prince George to secure the dower of his wife, the widow of Samuel Lee, who he stated, died about 1759." from Lucy's book. What I also find interesting is along with the family of Samuel Jr.in the Prince George area is Burwell Temple, who I believe maybe the father of my Frederick c. 1720. Reason I ask is because: Jonas is found on the 1850 Randolph Co., GA census living with a 70 year old Jane Temples, grandmother maybe, he is in his twenties and unmarried. The 1860, 1870 and 1880 Randolph Co., GA census show Jonas and Caroline married and Jane is not listed living with them but on the 1870 census a 68 year old Sarah is living with the family, mother maybe. She is not on the 1880 census. Do you know Jane or Sarah?????
