The Glasses and the Pyles still live in Early County, Ga. I do not know of any Sapps that live here........JH
Jane Glass filed a confederate war widow's pension application in Baker County on March 19, 1864. Signing an affidavit for her as to her identity was Charity Sapp and Sarah Ann Hair. We know that Jane Glass was a Sapp. She married James Glass in Leon County, Fl. Charity Sapp was surely a relative, but was Sarah Ann Hair. Probably a sister, don't you think. Also Greenberry Pyle was in Early County in, I believe, 1850 with Basheba. I think he was born in Alabama in 1820. He died in the Civil War. would like to know more about Glass, Sapp and Pyle/Pyles Pile/Piles. Rosa Lee Glass Hillsborough Co., Fl.

Hi, my name is Deborah. I am new to this website am not quite sure what the "lookups" are all about. I live in New Jersey. I am doing research on my ancestors whose surname is Bush. They were all born in Colquitt, Miller Co., Georgia. Below is an e-mail I sent to Debra Boswell. Maybe you can also help me. ____________________________________ My name is Deborah also. I am interested in researching some of my ancestors via census records. I found a really interesting web site that can send me copies of the census pages, but I need additional information. My great-grandfather's name was Dan Bush. He was born in Colquitt, Miller County, Georgia. Some of his children were John Durell Bush, Booker Bush, Ethel Bush, Inez Bush and Maybell Bush who were also born in Miller County. I believe my great-grandfather's wife's name was Gertrude Bush I am interested in census records for the following years: 1880, 1910, and 1920. For 1880, the National Archives Series # is T9, Roll 158 For 1910, the National Archives Series # is T624, Roll 201 For 1920, the National Archives Series # is T625, Roll 268 In order to purchase top quality, "Heirloom Prints," I need to know the Page number and E.D # (enumeration district) for each of the above years. Do you have access to the above census records and if so, can you see me copies? HELP ME PLEEZ! An aspiring genealogist, Deborah P.S. I would also like to know where I can search for some sort of marriage index for Miller County. Any suggestions? Seems as if my entire family "settled" in Colquitt, and still, to this day, remain there. Where can I get a hold of "The History of Miller County (1856-1980). Is it a book or a website? I really need it!! CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO SEARCH FOR THE MILLER COUNTY DEATH INDEX?
One question:: Is there anyone in the southwest GA area who knows anything about the Sheffield family of Shellman. My g grandfather, Mark Calloway Sheffield died in Shellman in 1925 or 26. He is buried in Crisp Co. He had at least one brother or half brother Sam Sheffield of Shellman. They seemed to be in the sawmill business in both South GA and North FL. Surely would like info. Glenn<ghitchcock@aol.com>
Joan, Thank you so much, for your time and energy spent. Sincerely, Paulette
I sure can't find a thing about the Igles, I will look in the Randolph County Book later and see if they show up in there. I have looked in all the Early County books, the Decatur County, Seminole, Miller and Calhoun and Baker books........so sorry nothing shows for them. JH
There is not a Wm. A. Fuller listed in the Early County, ga. tomb index.

Hey all, How about checking the subject of the reply before posting. All of these replies to "Littletons in Early Co, GA" get me all excited when I see them and then they are totally unrelated. Not good for my blood pressure HEE HEE Terry Littleton

My husband is a descendant of Mary Lucretia's brother, Joseph Andrew Jackson Sheffield. JAJ (Joe) migrated to Jasper County, Texas and is buried there in rural Roganville. His granddaughter married Arthur ADAMS. Audie Martha ADAMS is my husband's mother. I can send you copies of my material if you'd like to see it. (Photocopies by snail-mail.) Verle Ellis
Hey! Many thanks. I'm "remiller@aol.com" Roy Miller Arlington, TX
Hi Verle, Yes I am interested in the Sheffields. Have lots of loose ends so keeping tabs on collaterial families sometimes helps. Do you have any Kell(e)y's in your information? How did your husband end up in TX, too? Did some of the Sheffields come here? Also, do you have Ben Tiner's parents and their information? I have his parents as William T (might be Taylor) and Arissa Miller. Arissa is a mystery. My Lewis's mother was Martha B. unknown. Tried to find information on her by find info on Arissa but no luck there. Arissa was born in Florida. Figure William's father was John Tyner as he was in Early county in 1820. John Tyner was married to Rachael Rider. Sorry got off the subject of Sheffields but sometimes it helps to know the family migration/naming/birth patterns. Tammy
