Swannie Downs did have a brother by the name of Samuel Elijah Kilgore. Swannie Downs Kilgore would have been Elijah Taylor Kilgore's nephew. Elijah Taylor Kilgore was married to Emma (?) around 1863, she died 1891 and he married Martha in 1893.
