What I know for sure is that my great-great grandfather was named Charles Wright, that he was in his early 20s when the Civil War broke out, and that he was "older when he married" after he returned from the war. From the 1880 census, I found a Charles Wright who was the right age to be my great-great-grandfather living in the household of his father, William. I'd love to know anything about the family. I've been trying to find a record of Charles after the Civil War. I know he returned home and married Almeda Keen of Laurens County. He had at least two sons, Young Charles Wright (my great-grandfather), and John Wright, who owned a restaurant in Eastman. Young Charles Wright married Eugenia Scott of Berrien County, and they lived in Dodge county until the 1920s, when they moved to Brunswick. They had eight children who were all born in Eastman: Alma, Alcie, Mary, William, Eileen, Ernest, Grace, and Evelyn.
